I'm on my way to Winnipeg this morning to assist colleagues there in coverage of the final weekend of the Manitoba provincial election. It will be historic one way or the other: Heather Stefanson will be the first woman to lead a party to a general election in the province's history or Wab Kinew will become the first First Nations person to become a provincial premier in all of Canada. - DA

Return of Nisga’a memorial totem pole to be celebrated with ceremony and feast
The pole was carved in 1860 in memory of a Nisga'a chief, and was taken from the nation in 1929, without the nation's consent and later sold to the National Museum of Scotland. [Global]
