You’ll notice that this souvenir sheet on roses comes with its own ’thorns’ on the top and left hand side. The Scott stamp catalogue refers to these ‘thorns’ as ‘nibs.’ There are no nibs on the stamps themselves that form the souvenir sheet but there were nibs on the stamps that were issued in booklet forms — Scott number 1911-1914.
