Redacted CSIS files presented at foreign interference inquiry
New CSIS documents have come to light at the public inquiry into alleged foreign interference in Canada's electoral processes. The redacted papers detail briefings given to senior officials in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's office after Global News and The Globe and Mail first reported of allegations of foreign interference by China.  David Akin breaks down the details of those documents. The briefings are mentioned in an interview summary and say Trudeau was informed of allegations related to the nomination contest for the Toronto-area riding of Don Valley North in “late September/early October 2019.” The 2019 federal election was held Oct. 21. [Global]
